The developer conference of WWDC 2018 of Apple held last night had to do with the software. The Cupertino base did not bring new hardware products to your event. This means that Apple’s next set of hardware products will arrive at the fall event in September.
Although Apple is expected to launch three new iPhone models this year with a design similar to the iPhone X, it could have some surprise in store for the iPad line. Apple could launch the long-awaited iPad with Face ID in the fall event along with the new iPhone models. It is rumored that Apple will be working on new iPad models with Face ID for some time, and now concrete evidence has emerged to confirm the rumor.
Apple iOS developer Guilherme Rambo has been playing with beta developer iOS 12 and the code contained in the operating system seems to confirm the new iPad with Face ID support. Rambo tweeted videos and screenshots of the iOS 12 that contains hidden references to Face ID on the iPad and also includes a configuration user interface and a relevant section of the configuration menu.
The configuration menu needs work and shows a reference to the iPhone throughout the menu. There is a possibility that Apple will allow users to unlock their iPad using Face ID on the iPhone X. Apple allows you to unlock a Mac with an Apple Watch, but there is a high probability that iPad will get a dedicated TrueDepth camera for Face ID. The configuration menu also suggests that Apple has a hardware capable of facial recognition.
Since the launch of the iPhone X in September of last year, there have been rumors that Apple will bring its face recognition technology Face ID to other devices, including the iPad. One of the great advantages of Face ID on iPad would be the unified user experience on all devices, including iPhone and iPad. You only need to see if Face ID on iPad comes in the form of a notch or not.
